The Authority of God's Word II Timothy 3:16,17
The final authority and standard for life and practice is God's inspired and inerrant Word. While the Bible needs to be interpreted and applied to each situation, once this is done, end of discussion.
Grace Ephesians 2:8,9; Colossians 2:6; Ephesians 1:6; Zephaniah 3:17; Galatians 5:6
We have been saved by grace; we walk by grace. We are accepted in Christ by grace; God delights in us. We seek to offer grace to one another. It is a love relationship that God desires, not a list of rules.
Relationships 1 John 1:7; Ephesians 4:13-16
We enter the kingdom one by one, but we continue to grow in grace while in relationship with others. This requires transparency, vulnerability and openness, but the rewards far outweigh the cost.
Commitment Romans 12:1; Colossians 3:23
It is our desire to be fully and entirely committed to God and to His Kingdom. eveything we do for God should be done with excellence, passion and commitment.
Unity Philippians 2:5; John 17:20
Unity does not mean uniformity. We are all unique and wonderfully different. God delights in variety and we reflect that. But in purpose and commitment, we strive for unity of heart and attitude.
The spirit is not only resident within our church, but between us and other congregations who bow to Jesus as Lord. In unity, Christ is honored.
