Purpose
Discovery School is designed to provide an atmosphere in which each child can grow spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. Our goal is to help children grow in love and understanding of themselves, their family, their community, and their world. Our desire is to help children grow in awareness that God loves them and that Jesus is a special friend. We maintain a Christian atmosphere where basic precepts about God are taught.
We want learning to be fun. We desire to give guidance at each student's level and to build upon the developmental foundations of trust, independence, and initiative. We want each child to know that our staff loves them. We will promote self-discipline and consistent guidance.
Our prayer is that our Discovery School program will be a "stepping stone" in your child's path to having a wise heart that honors God. if we succeed, then you will have much reason to rejoice. (Proverbs 23:15)
Curriculum
We are committed to providing biblically based, age appropriate experiences to allow each child to progress in these areas at their own level of ability while enjoying feelings of success. This is primarily done through hands-on activities in learning centers and positive Christ-like role modeling of the staff. Parent newsletters will keep you informed about each unit designed for your child's class.
Fee Schedule
A Registration Fee is due upon return of all paperwork to the Discovery School office. Payment of the Registration Fee must accompany the registration form. If enrolling after the first day of school, the application fee is still paid in full. There are no refunds or reductions in tuition due to absence. Monthly tuition payments are payable regardless of holidays. Tuition is due on the 1st day of each month and late after the 10th. A $15.00 late fee will apply to late payments. Checks should be made payable to Wedgwood Baptist Church with your child’s name written on the “memo” line. There will be a $25.00 check return fee. You also have the option to pay online at wedgwoodbc.org. All fees are nonrefundable and are as follows:
