Discovery School
Purpose
Discovery School is a Christ Center learning environment for preschoolers. It is designed to provide an atmosphere in which young children can grow socially, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Learning is hands on and age appropriate to begin to establish and build developmental foundations of trust, independence, and initiative. Our prayer is Discovery School will be a “stepping stone” in a child’s path to having a wise heart that honors God.
Curriculum
Discovery School provides a biblically based, age appropriate learning plan that meets the developmental needs of each learner. Monthly lesson plans explore topics and Bible lessons to encourage young learners to grow and develop in their understanding of themselves, their families, and their world. This is accomplished through hands on learning centers and other classroom activities.
Learners have opportunities daily to also be a part of music, art, and recreation classes. A parent newsletter and daily notes keep parents informed of ongoing activities and learning in the classrooms.
