Written notes of counseling are maintained in your client record. Possible Risks Upon Entering Counseling:
It is not always possible, nor do we guarantee that the issues you present in counseling will be 100 % resolved. However, you will work with your therapist to set reasonable goals for each issue and work toward attaining those goals. For various reasons the counseling process may be terminated before reaching each of these goals.

Changes will occur in your life when entering therapy. In order to appropriately deal with your concerns, you may find the disclosure process, therapy techniques and assignments given difficult to you and those around you, particularly your immediate family. Often things may seem to initially become more difficult. This is quite common. Please inform your therapist if you begin to see or feel this happening. This is often when healing is occurring and release from much of your pain is forthcoming. It may be tempting to terminate therapy. By informing your therapist of your feelings during this crucial stage you will be moving toward the goals originally set and will experience the benefit of your endurance.

In addition, we are not equipped to counsel with those needing counsel more than twice a week. If you have a diagnosis of an acute nature such as schizophrenias, personality disorder, or psychotic disorder, we will be happy to refer you to a counseling ministry or center better equipped to deal with your needs.
