This coming Sunday is one of those special times of the year that we have. No! It is not that it is Memorial Day weekend, and yet that is extremely important also. Those that have given their life for this country is certainly a fact that does not need to be overlooked. We will actually celebrate the freedom we have in this country by being reminded of the greatest sacrifice made by Jesus Christ Himself. We have freedom here because Christ first gave His life. During the service on Sunday, we will partake of the Lord’s Supper as a reminder of the freedom we have in Christ.
I know that for some that this will be a day of hard remembrances. For some it will be another excuse to party or to have a day off, or take a trip some place.
Whatever the emotions and reasons are that fall on this day, I want to tell you I chose to put the celebration of the Lord’s Supper on this day because there is such correlation between the freedoms we have. The rest of our Lord’s Supper days will also be on those specific days of freedom for this country.
This Sunday we will start the service with a brand new song for us. It is called “Lion and the Lamb” by Brenton Brown. It is from Bethel Church. We will sing “This is Amazing Grace” “You Are Lord” by Ron Chee, “At the Cross (Love Ran Red)” by Chris Tomlin.
Please pray especially that as we enter into this time that our hearts will be wrapped around the Savior and standing pure before Him.
