Aaron Lynn

I came to Christ as a ten-year-old kid growing up in a family struggling with the effects of alcohol addiction. I was convicted under the fiery preaching of a young pastor. He counseled me in the way of salvation in his office and I gave all of me that I knew to give as a ten-year-old.

Had a wonderful “honeymoon period” for about six months, but my family was unsure about God, church and things spiritual and started on a journey that ended up at a Unitarian Universalist Church. I didn’t know which way was up, so I ditched the whole thing and my friends became my “church.”

I was into the party scene as a teenager. However, a beautiful young lady invited me to the Military Ball at our High School and my life changed. She was “one of those” church girls that my friends warned me about. Sure enough, she invited me to church. I eventually went and realized that, while I had “left” Christ, He never left me.

I committed my life back to the Lord in my early 20’s and married this “church girl.” We’ve been on an amazing journey of growing in Christ and following Him.

Two verses of scripture have set the course for my life:

Matthew 22:36-40 “You shall love the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul, and mind…”

Matthew 16:24-27 “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny Himself, take up His cross and follow Me.”
