I was raised in a Christian home and at the age of nine I came to know Jesus as my Savior. I realized my need to follow Jesus and prayed and asked Jesus into my heart.

I learned the importance of dependence on Christ through watching my parent’s dependence on Him for everything. I knew I wanted to teach my own children the same value when I became a parent.

My husband, Chip and I began serving in the local church as soon as we were married. It was a joy to serve Christ working in areas, such as teaching Sunday School in the preschool ministry and being involved serving in youth activities. It was a great way to be involved in the lives of others.

Since being in Fort Worth I had the opportunity to serve the Lord through being involved in the ministry of the church. The Lord has blessed my life at Wedgwood with opportunities to serve Him.

The reality is that Christ needs to be the center of my life. I can’t be content in this life without knowing that I can call out to Him at any moment. Christ carries me through each day. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13
