One of the joys of being the worship leader is being led to worship by others. Last month, Erskin Anavitarte was here. He led us to the throne, and I got to experience being led instead of doing the leading. Yesterday, the students of Wedgwood had the opportunity to lead us to the throne, to the foot of the cross, and this week Stephanie Moore and friends will lead the worship time for us. I will be up there with the choir, and just enjoy the time of worship. One of the reasons I have others do this from time to time is that it helps us to experience different perspectives of worship. It might be the same songs that I would be led by the Lord to pick, but it is still different. I am excited about these opportunities that we have been afforded at Wedgwood.
The worship songs this week were chosen by Stephanie. I trust that the Lord led her to these songs and these songs will be used to lead us to Him. The songs include “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing.” “Great Are You Lord,” “How Great Thou Art,” “O Lord My Rock and My Redeemer,” “What a Beautiful Name,” and “Your Great Name.” Check them out on YouTube or download them if you don’t already have them.
See you Sunday
