Big God Story Topic: Jesus at the Sea of Galilee
Passage: John 21:1-17
Memory Verse: Romans 5:8
Ways to discuss and connect as a Family:
What were the disciples doing all night long without any luck? What changed? (Fishing. Jesus showed up and told them to throw their net down on the right side, and they caught a large number of fish.)
What did Peter do when he recognized Jesus? (He jumped out of the boat and swam toward Jesus. )
What did Peter and Jesus talk about? (He forgave Peter for his past mistakes and told him to take care of his sheep (share God's love with the world).
Read John 10:11. How do we know that Jesus is the good shepherd? (Jesus is the good shepherd who laid down his life for his sheep (us) when he died on the cross.)
What are some of the ways Jesus showed love in today's Bible story?
How is telling someone about Jesus one way you can share God's love with them?
What are some ways you can show God's love to others like Jesus did?
